New research project “KI4HLS”

We are pleased to be working on the innovative research project “KI4HLS” together with Fraunhofer IOSB-INA, Bielefeld University, dSPACE GmbH and Weidmüller Germany as an associated partner. The project is funded by the state of North Rhine-Westphalia and the European Union.

The aim of the project is to develop generative AI models for use in FPGA engineering. These enable the automation of development steps in the design of microelectronics, such as the consideration of hardware requirements, which significantly simplifies and accelerates the development process. To this end, we provide concrete use cases and test their use in our FPGA development processes.

With the help of AI technology, the development effort can be reduced by up to 30%, saving costs and time during development. This allows small and medium-sized companies in particular to benefit from advanced AI technologies and, in the long term, promotes the faster development of innovative solutions in areas such as renewable energy and Industry 4.0. With the help of the project, we can, for example, integrate customer-specific requirements for the use of SIRIUS OS more quickly and further develop future-oriented technologies such as TSN more efficiently.

We are delighted to be part of this forward-looking project and are looking forward to further discussions!
